Dunnage Bag Application Information
Determining the correct size of dunnage bags is as easy at 1-2-3!
1. Measure the void between cargo
2. Measure the distance from the floor to the top of the load
3. Measure the length of the pallets (or whatever items you're trying to restrain)
The maximum void recommended for dunnage air bags is:
" 8" void -- 24" wide air bag
" 10" void -- 30" wide air bag
" 12" void -- 36" wide air bag
" 15" void -- 48" wide air bag
" 20" void -- 60" wide air bag
If the measured void exceeds the recommended size above, it is suggested to use some additional void filler products, such as corrugated or old pallets. It is required to place some type of smooth surface product, such as corrugated, on both sides of the airbag to maintain its integrity and to protect it from rough edges of pallets, crates, or anything else sharp.
